Insurance Coverage for Texas Clients
We're in-network with several major Texas plans, including Cigna, so you may be able to use your existing benefits for virtual sessions from anywhere in the state. Not in-network with your carrier? Most of our Texas clients use out-of-network benefits and a monthly superbill instead.
Coverage details vary by employer and plan tier, even within the same carrier. Verify your specific benefits before your first session. We're happy to check for you.
If we're not in-network with your Texas plan, most clients still get partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Here's how it works:
- 1 You pay our session rate Billed directly to you at time of service, just like any private-pay visit.
- 2 We provide a monthly superbill An itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs to process a claim.
- 3 You submit it for reimbursement Most Texas PPO plans reimburse a percentage of the session cost directly to you.
Estimate your reimbursement
A rough idea only. Your actual reimbursement depends on your specific plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
A few things that come up most often from women considering therapy with us in Texas.
Yes. Because our therapists are licensed in Texas, state law requires you to be physically located in Texas at the time of each session. Short trips out of state are usually fine as long as your regular sessions happen while you're back in the state.
It depends on your specific plan, even if two people have the same insurance carrier. We're in-network with several major Texas insurers, listed in the insurance section above. If your plan isn't one of them, we can give you a monthly superbill so you can submit for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
Therapy licenses are tied to the state where you're physically located, so a move can affect whether we're able to keep seeing you. Let us know as soon as a move seems likely and we'll figure out the best path forward, whether that's continuing with your current therapist until the move or connecting you with someone licensed in your new state.
For most of what we treat, including postpartum depression and anxiety, research on telehealth shows outcomes comparable to in-person care. For a lot of our Texas clients, skipping the drive and childcare arrangements makes it easier to keep appointments week after week, and that consistency tends to matter more than whether the session happens on a screen or a couch.
Availability shifts week to week depending on the therapist and your schedule. Reach out through our contact form and someone will follow up with real openings, usually within a couple of business days.
In most cases, yes. Therapy is generally considered an eligible medical expense under HSA and FSA plans. It's worth confirming the specifics with your plan administrator, since rules can vary by employer.
Weekly therapy sessions aren't built to cover emergencies. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at any hour. Ask your therapist about their between-session protocol so you know what to expect if something comes up.
