Michelle Lee, LCPC
Therapist
Michelle is a compassionate and experienced counselor who specializes in supporting parents through the challenges and joys of the prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum periods. She can recount her days as a new mother of boy/girl twins needing a lot of support not only around raising multiples, but also around managing anxiety, challenges with mood, and feeling like an overall “good enough parent”. Michelle has also developed a niche for truly understanding the challenges of being a single mother, in her latter 40’s, as she currently parents 14-year-old twins.
In addition to learning from her own experience as a parent, Michelle has extensive experience helping families navigate the unique challenges of caring for young children with regulatory disorders, including feeding, sleeping, and crying concerns. She has a deep understanding of perinatal mental health and therefore provides evidenced-based guidance for individuals and families experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, and the complex emotions that come with parenthood using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Approaches.
Michelle also offers specific support for women’s overall wellbeing, addressing issues related to changing and developing identities as children age, navigating single parenthood, and adjusting to the overall mental and physical transitions women experience through various life phases.
Through a warm, empathetic approach, Michelle creates a safe space where parents feel heard, supported, and empowered. Whether through individual counseling, coaching, or education, she is dedicated to helping women and their families build resilience, strengthen bonds, and find confidence in their journey. Michelle’s mantra is “You Are Not Alone!”
