Becoming a mother affected me in profound ways both personally and professionally.  In my early years as a mom, even with a background in mental health, I often found myself in survival mode. There are healthier ways to walk through these challenging times! As a mother of two, I have experienced a high-risk pregnancy, birth trauma, a NICU stay and a postpartum period during the isolation of Covid.  I know the invaluable importance of community, support, and of learning to express your needs and wants. I’d love to be a safe place for you as you mindfully develop your identity as a parent and become more aware of your strengths and growth edges.

As a Licensed Clinical Social worker with 12 years of experience in the field my therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, down to earth and humorous when appropriate. I use strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Strengths-Based therapy to help support parents as they negotiate their new normal.   I believe parents need support throughout their journey-whether you are trying to conceive, riding the waves of being pregnant, navigating the postpartum period, or struggling with the challenges that every new year of childhood brings. Some of you may be learning to balance caring for your children as well as your aging parents. It can be a lot to manage.

The joys of parenthood can be immense, but so can the lows.  We all need to find people, passions, and purpose to help us make meaning and sustain us through the wonderful and difficult experiences. Allow me to walk alongside you.
