What Does Therapy Look Like For A ‘Mom To Be’?

Sessions typically last between 45 and 55 minutes, offering a safe and supportive space to focus on your mental and emotional well-being during pregnancy. In our first session, we’ll explore the concerns or challenges you’re currently facing, such as stress, anxiety, mood changes, or other emotional difficulties. We’ll also take time to understand your personal experiences, values, and hopes for this journey. Together, we’ll establish meaningful goals and develop a therapy plan tailored to support your mental health, equipping you with the tools and strategies to navigate pregnancy with resilience, confidence, and emotional balance.

Pregnancy is a time of significant change, and it’s not uncommon to experience emotional or mental health challenges along the way. You might benefit from counseling if you’re dealing with feelings of depression or anxiety, facing fears about labor, or experiencing uncertainty about your pregnancy. Unplanned or high-risk pregnancies can bring additional stress, while physical discomfort and body image concerns may impact your self-esteem and emotional well-being. Relationship conflicts or feeling misunderstood by loved ones can also add to the emotional burden. Counseling provides a supportive space to address these challenges, helping you navigate this transformative period with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
