I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, and almost 10 years of experience in the healthcare, perinatal, and birth trauma mental health fields. My background includes working in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, providing care to pregnant and postpartum patients who have experienced a high risk pregnancy, perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, birth trauma, domestic violence, baby in the NICU or perinatal loss.

I realized very early in my career that my passion was working with pregnant and postpartum patients and their families. While expecting a baby is a very exciting time, the transition to parenthood can also be incredibly stressful. Sometimes the path to parenthood can be impacted by hormonal changes, new medical diagnoses, anxiety, depression, financial concerns and personal or professional relationship changes. I am here to provide support and education to parents, as well as help navigate those stressful times and challenges that come along with being a parent.

In addition to working as a therapist at Matrescence Therapy, I currently work as a Perinatal Social Worker at Northwestern Medicine. In this role, I provide direct patient care to postpartum parents, including therapeutic services, case management and care coordination. I bring my knowledge from the healthcare field into my therapeutic practice and use a combination of therapeutic techniques, including Strengths Based Therapy, Behavioral Activation and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
